SARANAC LAKE - Donald Bailey, 69, of 28 Chaney Ave., Tupper Lake, died Thursday morning at General Hospital.
Mr. Bailey owned and operated the Western Auto Store in Tupper Lake from 1962 to 1974, and he had been a resident of Tupper Lake for 17 years.
He was born in Saranac Lake, the son of George and Edna (Bordeaux) Bailey.
Survivors include his wife, the former Eleanor Latour, whom he married in 1941; a brother, Kenneth of Saranac Lake; two sisters, Fern Bailey of Saranac Lake and Mrs. Marcia DeWitt of Randolph, N.J., and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p,m. Saturday at the Fortune Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p,m, Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Eric R. King, pastor of the United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Pine Ridge Cemetery in May. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart Fund.
